DRH - Richmond Vale Academy is part of the International DRH-Movement, which, in cooperation with Humana People To People, recruits volunteers for working on development programs in different countries of Africa
The program lasts for 14/20 months.
- 6 months training at DRH Richmond Vale Academy, St. Vincent and the Grenadines
- 6/12 months on a HUMANA project in Mozambique, South Africa, Malawi
- 2 months Camp Future - follow up and information work in the Caribbean
The projects in Africa are working on the following main issues of development:
• Child Aid and Community programs
• Fighting HIV/AIDS
• Making program for orphans and street children
• Training future teachers
• Teaching in vocational schools
• Agriculture, farming and environmental protection
• Business, marketing and partnership
The organization is located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Groups start every 1st of March and 1st of September.
No special qualifications needed. No Salary. Course fee apply. Food and accomodation provided during the training. In Africa, food, accomodation, pocket money and health insurance provided.
